THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS DRIVE
It's that time of year again. We are currently collecting for our yearly "Thanksgiving Baskets" for families in need. We will be collecting food and monetary donations. There is a table set up in the foyer that lists the items we need for the baskets. Please place food items in the basket provided and give monetary donations to a WMU member or put in the offering plate with a notation for food baskets. Turkeys and fresh items will be purchased from the monetary donations we receive. Prices of groceries have gone up, as everyone is aware, so please give generously.
If you know of a family who is in need of a food basket this Thanksgiving, please give their name,
address and phone number to either Linda Sherlin or Lillie Reichback. The last day for donations will be Sunday November 17th.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES
We are still collecting items or Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Additional items needed are "WOW" items. You can find many of these items on Amazon. Go to Amazon-Operation Christmas Child and you will find fishing kits for $6.99, Soccor balls w/Pump for $12.49, Harmonicas 20/$19.99 and much more. Underwear is still needed, boys and girls (ALL SIZES) and socks. Last day of collecting is November 3,2024.
Hello, from Kentucky WMU!
This year's theme is called "The Gospel at Home" based on Luke 8:39. God has challenged all believers to return to our homes and tell how much God has done for us. From multilanguage ministry to the underserved, from the local church to the nations next door, Kentucky Baptists are telling about the living. We have a duty to share the gospel with those inside our sphere of influence and our greatest influence is our home.
